Back To School

That foreboding day has returned – along with the rush for new shoes, haircuts, backpacks, and supplies. Over 78 million students are headed to the classroom, with a reported 2.5% suffering from Didaskaleinophobia, the fear of going back to school. Yes, it’s real.

Remember the feeling the night before the first day of school? Excitement mixed with apprehension – new teachers, more homework, bus rides, peer pressure and that awful cafeteria food.

Though the school bus has left us behind, there’s good reason to prepare for the “next semester” of our business. You’ve heard it before: “If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always gotten.”

Here’s your homework assignment:

1. Review what your customers see – online and in person
2. Read your website content – does it encourage engagement?
3. Reach out to customers with something informative and interesting

If your company feels stuck in one place, every day exactly the same,   then do something that wakes up your audience. Do your homework!
